Getting started with a wellness or fitness plan can seem daunting because there are so many unknowns. We help you understand your body and what it requires.
Exercise is a controlled amount of stressful stimulus. Going for a walk is not stressful, although it is a healthy movement. We call these non-stressful movements “active recovery” which is necessary for a well-planned, healthy approach. Getting the right dose - each individual's environment, limitations, and age/gender dictate a very individualized dosage. Dosages adjust as your body does.Since exercise is viewed by the body as stress, and since so much of daily life is comprised of other stressors the rest of the approach is aimed at reducing stress load in the body by lifestyle behaviors that can be controlled by each person...rest, hydration, nutrition.
Minimizing stress in the body reduces inflammation in the body, and consequently drastically reduces the opportunity for chronic illnesses to develop and persist.
